Fall River Feedyard is a high-tech, 25,000 head yard located in Southwest South Dakota.  The lot annually feeds about 50,000 head in 150 pens and is the largest lot in the state. 

Technically advanced, Fall River Feedyard has computerized all its ration formulation, mixing and feeding; as well as veterinary records.

The lot hosts a consulting veterinarian and nutritionist.

Forty percent of the lot was remodeled in 1999 to improve drainage and help maintain a cleaner environment for the cattle.

Pens are cleaned four times a year and concrete aprons are cleaned more often.

Manager Lonnie Dunn has been with Fall River since 1989.  And because he believes 50 percent of performance is environmental, his philosophy is to keep the cattle content.
